How we calculate value
NextDyne Engine Value Score is fully owned — no third-party trade-value API and not crowdsourced. Trailing production runs through 2025; NextDyne Engine Projections add a 2026 outlook so the board is not stuck looking purely backward.
Age & position curve
Position-specific curves — RB decline starts earliest, WR/TE hold longer, QB longest.
Draft capital
Original NFL draft slot as a pedigree prior — critical for rookies with no production sample yet.
Engine Projections
Deterministic 2026 half-PPR outlook blended into Value Score (heavier for rookies / young players; modest for established vets). Not a separate rankings homepage.
Pick values use the same 0–10,000 scale: current-year picks highest, future years discounted, early/mid/late tranches inside each round. Superflex / TE Premium are format bumps on top of the blended board (QB +18%, TE +12%). Dynasty-only at launch — Standard and Keeper modes are not part of this tool.

- What is NextDyne Engine Value Score?
- Engine Value Score is NextDyne’s owned 0–10,000 valuation scale for dynasty fantasy football (sometimes abbreviated DVS in docs). It blends trailing production (through 2025), position-specific age curves, original NFL draft capital, and NextDyne Engine Projections (2026 outlook). Superflex and TE Premium toggles apply small format bumps on top of that blended score.
- What are NextDyne Engine Projections?
- Engine Projections are NextDyne’s forward layer for the Value Score — a deterministic 2026 half-PPR outlook derived from roles, age, draft capital, and trailing production. They are not crowdsourced, not a third-party rankings feed, and not “AI projections.” They blend into Value Score; we do not ship a separate projections media product.
- What do Superflex and TE Premium do?
- They recompute displayed Engine Value Scores for this trade: Superflex raises QBs (+18%); TE Premium raises TEs (+12%). Defaults are off to match a 1QB / non-TEP dynasty board. Format flags are saved in the share URL.
- Can I trade players for draft picks?
- Yes. Current and future rookie picks resolve to the same Engine Value Score scale as players, with early/mid/late tranche splits inside each round and a discount for future years.
- Why doesn’t the calculator say fair or unfair?
- Dynasty trades are need-based. A win-now team and a rebuilder can both be right on the same deal. We show the value delta and context — not a binary verdict.
- Do I need an account to use the calculator?
